The next monthly meeting will be held on Monday, 1st June, 2009 in the Eastbourne Complex. Meetings are open to all members. The Club would also like to invite parents of Junior Athletes to these meetings to hear their views
.ANNUAL PRESENTATION NIGHT & AGM
Well done to all members who received awards at the Annual Presentation Night, club awards are for consistent performances over the past year. Thank you to John Brant for organising the evening and members who donated prizes for the raffle.
ANNUAL SUBSCRIPTIONS
Subscriptions for the year April 2009 to April 2010 should now have been paid, PLEASE NOTE ANY MEMBER WHO HAS NOT PAID THEIR SUBSCRIPTIONS ARE NOT ELIGIBLE TO COMPETE FOR THE CLUB AND ARE THEREFORE NOT COVERED BY INSURANCE WHILE TAKING PART IN ATHLETICS. If you have not paid please see Harry Prince immediately.
EASTBOURNE COMPLEX OPENING HOURS
Please note the new opening hours for the Eastbourne Complex will be as follows:-
Monday to Friday 4.00 p.m. to 10.00 p.m.
Saturday 12.00 noon to 4.30 p.m.
Sunday 9.30 a.m. to 4.30 p.m.
ROAD RUNNING
DARLINGTON PITSTOP 10K
The Darlington Pitstop 10K will take place on Wednesday, 8th July at Croft Circuit. Application Forms are available in the Club Room. COULD ANY MEMBER NOT COMPETING please see John Brant if they are available to help on the evening, the meeting could not take place without the help of volunteers.
LONDON MINI MARATHON
Well done to Josh Phillips, Beth Ward, Nicole Burlinson, Chris Gaffney and Tom West who represented Durham at the London Mini Marathon.
LONDON MARATHON
Also well done to Emma Morley, Joanne Tompkin, Sue Phillips, Linda Noble and John Brant who all managed to complete the full marathon.
TRACK AND FIELD
NYAL MEETINGS SUMMER 2009
The first meeting of the season took place at the Eastbourne Complex on Sunday, 3rd May. There were some exceptional performances. Club Athletes of the match were U13B Connor Dummet (who obtained one Grade 3 and two Grade 4s) and U17W Lorna Goldsmith (who achieved one Grade 2 and two Grade 4s) Other athletes to receive Grades were U17W Leah Kennedy (3 Grade 3s), U17M Nathan Raine (Grade 3), Paul Clifford (Grade 3), Josh Phillips (Grade 3), Sean Reid (Grade 4), U15G Bethan Bowles (Grade 4), U15B Tom Andrews (2 Grade 4s) and Joe Fendall (Grade 3). Well done to all athletes who competed on the day and the many officials and helpers.
