On Saturday afternoon both Senior men and women were involved in the 111th North East XC championships. With another good turnout for the club thanks to the organisation of XC Captains Mark and Lesley Aykley Heads, Durham was sprinkled with a sea of white shirts and blue stripes. Was great to see everyone supporting not only their own team mates butsupporting other clubs such as Heaton and Saltwell…for example! Both teams did great on the day, the Mens team finishing 9th overall and the ladies 11th.
Well done to everyone today, really great work! Sunday will see the Wynard 5km Santa race starting at 10am.Good luck to any Harriers taking part in the trail race and enjoy the chocolate! We will cover this next week.
