Last week at Helmsley10k race York,we reported that Bernadette Caygill finished 2nd lady, 1st L40 and 39th overall.

Results are now in Bernadette finishing in 42:47 withJohn Hall 47.22 for 85th.

On Wednesday night at Newham Trail Farm a number of Harriers took on the not quite a 5k trail race (2.8m apparently).

On Saturday morning at the Hamsterley 10k it turned out to be a good day for many of the club runners on show with Kyle Cook taking first place in a new personal best 35:30 with Paul Allan 2nd and a number of other athletes picking up Category prizes.

Another race to take place on Saturday was the Anniversary Waltz fell race with Darren Stockdale, Neil Addyman and Emily Halstead all taking part.This race has 3600 ft. of climbing across the 11.5 mile route. Results have yet to be released so this will be covered off next week.

Another race to take place this weekend was the Washington 10k trail race..

Alison Matthew was another who was in marathon action this weekend as she took on the Blackpool marathon.

Alyson was once again flying the Scottish flag with pride finishing 1stin 3:07:44. Superb running Ali

Another event to take place this weekend was the Stockton Duathlon where the regular duo of Den Dale and Julian Pinkney was on show.

As results have yet to be released we will cover this next week.

Ian Threadkell headed north of the border to take on the Great Edinburgh 10 mile race. Starting and finishing in Holyrood Park runners will see a number of the city's famous landmarks such as the Palace of Holyroodhouse, the Scottish Parliament Building, Edinburgh Castle, Greyfriars Bobby and the beautiful Arthur's Seat.  Ian was the lone Harrier in the race finishing in 1756th place in 1:36:25. Well done Ian that’s a great run.

On Sunday morning 15 Harriers were on show at the London marathon, one of the Major marathons of the world.Some great performancesincluding bests for Barry, Louise, Andrew, Peter and some first timers amongst the group too.

Fantastic achievement by you all, some huge amounts raised for charity including Vivianne Pow who has fought cancer herself and raised £4k for Beating Bowel Cancer.
