Junior report on the NECAA 2016 Cross Country Championships

The latest event in the 2016 Junior Cross country championships was the NECAA championships at Aykley Heads in Durham on the 10th December.

Dylan Wilson had another great run in the non championship U11IMG_0466.jpg race as did his brother Harry in the U13 boys race who finished 27th with Sam TalmanIMG_0484.jpg 42nd and Dylan GrayIMG_0477.jpg 72nd. 

In the U13 girls race Harriet RogersIMG_0504.jpg finished strongly in  14th place after an unfortunate fall and Sarah WilcockIMG_0505.jpg was 34th.

James RobertsIMG_0513.jpg finished just outside the top ten in the U15 boys race to finish 11th and Liam BrittleIMG_0516.jpg finished 25th.

The U15 Girls race proved to be the race of the day with Catherine RobertsIMG_0534.jpg coming through to win with India PentlandIMG_0540.jpg in hot pursuit in 2nd place and Emma HartIMG_0524.jpg having the race of her life to finish 5th. The team race was also a triumph for the girls. Ellie PhillipsIMG_0526.jpg came home in 17th place and Megan NobleIMG_0527.jpg in 28th.

In the U17 races our sole runners were Katie Noble who finished 34th in the U17/20 ladies race and Max HarrisIMG_0812.jpg who also finished just out of the top 10 in 11th position in the men's race.
